Annual Elections were held at the April WKCC Meeting.

Re-elected Vice President was Frank Meek. Re-elected Treasurer was John Brenneman. Four Directors were elected: Allen Mott, Paul Lansingh, Bob Bailey and New Board of Directors Member Mark McDaniels. Congratulations and thanks for all your work to keep the WKCC a great Knife Club.

Youth Chairman Allen Mott has had a busy month.

He has presented 3 seperate Knife Safety Talks to Boy Scout and Cub Scout Troops.

He was invited to a Boy Scout International Friendship Camporee, held the weekend of April 24th. Although personally unable to attend he worked up a Knife Safety Test.

Pat Donovan and Frank Meek went in his place. The test administered was part of the Scouts Field test. They competed in knot tying and 10 other Scout Skill tests which included the knife safety quiz.

The Scouts, Pat and Frank had a great time. 13 separate Boy Scout Patrols tested  their knife skills. They actually were very good with 12 teams getting 10 or 10 plus scores. The test emphasized safety but also asked for knife sharpening demonstrations and knowledge of types of knife locks.

Thanks to John Brenneman who arranged this Camporee participation with his Emergency Room Doctor, Doctor Maurice Cox, who also happens to be a Scout Master. Nice job John.
